Worlds Apart, Pegs Together - last updated October 27, 2026
This policy explains what the game collects, why, and the choices you have. The game is made by an independent developer ("we"). Contact: support@worldsapartpt.com.
Playing without going online
The game can be played fully without its online features. Your game progress is saved on your own device and is not sent to us unless you turn on cloud saves.
What we collect when you use online features
Online features (Friends & Chat, mail, leaderboards, the daily and online arenas, cloud saves and bug reports) use our game server. When you use them, the server keeps:
- An account identifier: a random ID created by the game on your device. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number or address.
- Your player name (players under 13 pick it from a word list) and your friend code.
- Your birth year, asked once with a neutral question. It is used only to decide which features your account has (see Children below).
- What you share with other players: your friends list, chat messages, mail and gifts, leaderboard scores, and your online-arena defender monster.
- Cloud saves of your game progress, if you use cloud saves.
- Bug reports you choose to send: what you write and, if you tick the boxes, a picture of the game screen and technical details (game version, device model, operating system, screen size).
- Technical logs: the server records connection details such as IP addresses for security and to keep the service running. These logs are kept for a short time.
How we use it
- To run the online features you use (show your friends, deliver messages and mail, rank scores, save progress).
- To keep players safe: filtering chat, acting on reports, muting or banning accounts that break the rules.
- To fix bugs and improve the game.
We do not sell your information, we do not show advertising, and we do not share your information with others except the companies that host the service for us (our server host and our domain/DNS provider), or when the law requires it. If you use Google Play Games on Android, Google's own privacy policy applies to that service.
Children
Players who say they are under 13, or who choose not to say, get Safe mode: friends only by friend codes shared in person, chat only with friends and only in ready-made phrases and emotes, player names picked from word lists, gifts but no written letters, and no World chat. We do not knowingly collect personal information such as names, email addresses or contact details from children; contact details typed anywhere in the game are blocked. A parent can set a PIN in the Family tab to turn friends, chat or mail off.
Parents can ask us to review or delete their child's information at support@worldsapartpt.com (include the friend code shown in Friends & Chat), or delete the account themselves in the game (see below).
How long we keep it
We keep your online information while your account exists. Chat history and mail may be removed sooner. When you delete your account, your profile, friends, mail, chats, scores, cloud saves and defender are deleted from the server. Server backups roll over within 14 days. Bug reports may be kept, without your account, to fix the problem.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account at any time: in the game, Options > More > Online > Delete my account, or see Delete your account.
- Block and report any player from Friends & Chat.
- Ask what we hold about you, or ask for a correction, at support@worldsapartpt.com.
Security
All connections to our server are encrypted (HTTPS). Access to the server is limited to the developer.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell players in the game.
